Cultural Landmark Concept

Power of the Desert is conceived as a cultural landmark in Masdar City, celebrating the 50th anniversary of the United Arab Emirates. The project transforms renewable energy infrastructure into a public heritage destination, where architecture, innovation, and national identity converge. Inspired by the relationship between desert landscapes, energy generation, and cultural legacy, the design creates a sequence of sculptural forms, elevated walkways, and public plazas that invite exploration and gathering. By integrating sustainable technology with civic space, the project reimagines the power generator as a symbol of progress—honoring the nation’s past while expressing its vision for a sustainable future.
